Pharmaceutical-grade PVP is internationally recognized as one of the three major new drug excipients. Applications include tablet and granule binding, injection solubilization, and capsule flow enhancement.
PVP demonstrates excellent food safety and non-carcinogenic properties. It serves as a clarifying agent and stabilizer for beer, juice, and wine by forming complexes with polyphenolic compounds like tannin.
With extremely low toxicity and physiological inertness, PVP causes no skin or eye irritation. Its extensive medical usage history ensures safety in cosmetic applications.
PVP prevents dirt redeposition and enhances cleaning performance. It provides excellent anti-color transfer effects and reduces skin irritation from synthetic detergents, particularly with synthetic fibers.
PVP exhibits strong affinity for organic dyes and enhances dyeing power and hydrophilicity for synthetic fibers including polyacrylonitrile, esters, and nylon.
